Where To Buy: WnW is sold at various retailers, I purchased these from my local Walgreens for about $3 each. I can't really give my insight on how long they actually "last" just yet because I haven't had the chance to wear it long enough (as I'm always repainting my nails) but I do plant to try a couple more colors and will update you in a later review. Would I Recommend It? YES! I'm really happy to see Wet n Wild stepping their nail polish game up. Also the thickness of the stem of the brush was a little awkward, a lot of polish clings on to the stem which makes it necessary to make sure you wipe it off to avoid a drippy mess! While I love the actual size of the brush I think they could've constructed the stem part a little better, maybe thinner? Oh and one more thing, apparently China Glaze has a minty green polish with a very similar name that's caused a bit of an mean in retrospect there are a LOT of brands out there with a LOT of different names, so maybe it's just a pesky coincidence? o) Glare: The bristles on the brush are a little rigged so you may want to cut the strays away. Revlon Emerald City (+ a comparison to OPI Here Today.Glow: I'm in LOVE with the thick brush! It's makes painting your nails such a breeze! I've noticed that a lot of brands are now trying to incorporate larger brushes on nail lacquers which makes me a very happy woman :-D It makes it easier to apply and get an even coverage within the first 1-2 coats!.Nail Art: French Flag Manicure (Bastille Day 2013!).Nail Art: Toothpick Stripes (plus a how-to).We’ve moved! Time to update your email subscription.TDV on Twitter Tweets by TheDailyVarnish.Just as a side note, I thought I’d point out this polish is cruelty free □ If you run into this polish anywhere I’d highly recommend it! ![]() ![]() If you’ve seen Arissa in Walgreens (or any store for that matter) I’d love to know where.Īnyways, there are (many) more swatches below the jump. I’ve definitely never seen Arissa in any Walgreens near me. The polishes also cost $4 on the website as opposed to $2 like at Family Dollar and Ingles.Īnother interesting note from the website is that it says Walgreens carries Arissa. I was surprised to find that Arissa has a lovely website and quite an extensive nail polish range though it appears that Rockin’ Amethyst is no longer part of their line. Makes getting the bottle open super easy. I do like that it has a rubberized handle. I’m just not a fan of the Arissa bottle shape in general and the label is virtually impossible to read (there are pictures below the jump). My only complaint about this polish isn’t actually about the polish. The end result was definitely worth the 3 coats! Quite a complex polish for such a small price ($2).ĭue to the fact that this polish is a jelly I needed 3 coats to reach an opacity I was happy with. The shimmer in this polish is purple but flashes blue depending on the light. This polish features 3 of my favorite things purple, glitter and a jelly finish. I left with this nail polish and it’s freaking gorgeous! I had never been a Family Dollar so curiosity got the best of me. As I was leaving I noticed beside the DMV there was a Family Dollar. Rockin’ Amethyst landed in my stash after a long day at the DMV. I didn’t end up picking any polish up but ever since I haven’t been able to get the only Arissa polish I own out of my mind. The only polish this particular Ingles carries is Arissa. Of course being in a different grocery store I had to check out the cosmetics aisle. A couple of weeks ago when I was in the mountains I stopped by an Ingles to pick up some essentials for the house. ![]()
